Stubbing my toe is painful. Hitting the funny bone of my elbow is no laughing matter; both are unintentional and fortunately happen infrequently. The biting of my tongue takes me by surprise and discomfort lasts for days. Yet, I’d be far better off biting my tongue than back biting.

More parents opt for home school

According to the most recent data released by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in an open records request to the Texas Home School Coalition (THSC), Texas experienced 29,765 withdrawals from public school to homeschool between grade 7-12 in the 2021-2022 school year.

State STEM programs receive grants

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) recently gave $2.5 million in grants to various STEM programs in Texas. The new multi-milliondollar grant is giving Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students across the state a little extra help this year.
