After a tough week of Area competitions at WTAMU, Texas Tech and Tarlton, Nazareth FFA has advanced six ag teams and 20 students to compete at state. WTAMU The Nazareth FFA Vet Science team advanced and are state bound.

High Plains Water District has published the results of the 2023 water level measurement, showing an average decline of -0.71 feet. The average decline was calculated in the groundwater levels of the Ogallala/Edwards- Trinity (High Plains) Aquifer (ETHP) from 2022 to 2023.

Bobcats fall to Falcons

The Dimmitt Bobcats fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to the Bushland Falcons. Bobcats pitcher Mario Lopez took the loss for Dimmitt, pitching 1.2 innings, 28 strikes in 56 pitches with one strikeout, allowing six hits, eight runs and three walks. Edwin Macias pitched 2.
