Kennedy to launch presidential campaign

Environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for president in 2024 as a Democrat. The filing was confirmed by his campaign treasurer, John Sullivan.

The Texas Senate approved a bill that would prohibit cities and counties from banning gas appliances or passing other greenhouse gas regulations. “Greenhouse gas regulation cannot be piecemeal in the state of Texas,” said Granbury Senator Brian Birdwell.

A deadly explosion and fire at South Fork Dairy Farm in Castro County rendered one person hospitalized in critical condition on Monday and killed thousands of dairy cattle. The Castro County Sheriff ’s Office 911 Dispatch received multiple calls Monday evening around 7:21 p.m.

The Texas House of Representatives passed a proposed right to farm constitutional amendment and two right to farm bills. Supported by the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB), the three pieces of legislation are HJR 126, HB 1750 and HB 2308.

Fourteen members of the Nazareth High School tennis team traveled to South Plains College in Levelland to compete in the Regional tournament on Monday and Tuesday Six players will be advancing to compete at state.
