Texas Senate passes bill aimed at protecting women’s sports

The Texas Senate approved a bill last Wednesday that would restrict which college sports teams transgender athletes can join. The bill will now head to the Texas House, where a majority of state representatives have already expressed support for similar legislation.

State sales tax revenue $3.6B in March

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar on Monday said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.57 billion in March, 5.9 percent more than in March 2022. The majority of March sales tax revenue is based on sales made in February and remitted to the agency in March.

DHS Robotics headed for World

Dimmitt High School Robotics team #12398 has been invited to attend the World FTC Championship Meet to be held in Houston on April 17-23. There will be 192 teams from all over the world participating. The event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
