TxDOT to begin seal coat in 17 counties

Anton man dies from dog attack

The Hockley County Sheriff’s Office reported that three dogs attacked a man on June 10 in Anton, who was found dead in his driveway. The victim, identified as 57-year-old Andrew Woods, appears to have died in the attack, and was found surrounded by three dogs when officers arrived.

SEC files lawsuit against Lubbock companies

The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a civil lawsuit against three Lubbock-based companies and owner Blake Robert Templeton, accusing Templeton of lying to investors and conducting a Ponzi scheme.

Festival Traditions Continue

The community of Nazareth has held the Naz German Festival since 1973, with citizen pitching in to prepare the German sausage for the big dinner. A photo from July 1981 depicts how the sausage was ground in preparation for the event.
