Three Lubbock children reported missing

Three Lubbock children have been missing since Jan. 28 according to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The children range in age from 4 to 7 years old. Noah Arriola, 7, is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 4′ tall and weighs 90 pounds.

IRS tips on avoiding tax fraud

Each year, taxpayers’ personal information is compromised through phishing scams or by unscrupulous tax preparers. With tax season kicking off Jan. 24, IRS-Criminal Investigation (IRSCI) wants taxpayers to be aware of tax-related fraud.

Acker receives Superior Service Award

Castro County AgrLife Extension agent Felice Acker, CEA Family and Community Health, was honored with an award this past Friday. Faculty and staff of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, gathered from across the state, received the agency’s Superior Service Award during a ceremony Jan.

Crop insurance flexibilities extended

The USDA is extending the sign-up process for the Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) program for farmers until June 30 or later. Originally, these flexibilities were expiring in January.
