Early voting underway for amendment election

Texas voters will have the opportunity to approve eight amendments to the Texas Constitution in the upcoming election. Election day is Nov. 2 and early voting began Oct. 18 and will continue through Oct. 29. Castro County residents can participate in early voting at the Castro County Courthouse.

st Tuesday morning, the City of Nazareth became the 39th city in the nation to pass an ordinance outlawing abortion within their city limits. The unanimous 3-0 vote took place at Nazareth City Hall where every chair was occupied.
