Naz Ed Foundation fundraiser a success

The Nazareth Education Foundation had another successful annual fundraiser weekend before last. The event included a steak/chicken dinner a reverse raffle and a drawing of raffle items. Members of the National Honor Society assisted with serving drinks and desserts and working in the kitchen.

Lubbock reports 295 new C19 cases

The City of Lubbock sent out a press release, reporting 295 new cases of COVID -19. The following is a press release from the City of Lubbock. As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, the City of Lubbock confirmed 295 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), 152 recoveries and four additional deaths.

Texas drivers rank high

Texas drivers ranked in the top 10 best drivers in the United State at fifth place, according to a study done by QuoteWizard. Ahead of Texas drivers were those in West Virginia, Missouri, Michigan and New Mexico, respectively.

Texas unemployment rises in September

The Texas unemployment rate rose to 8.3 percent in September, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. The Amarillo Metropolitan Statistical Area had the lowest adjusted rate of 5.1 percent, followed by the College Station-Bryan at 5.5 percent. Abilene recorded the third lowest rate of 5.
