Hereford Retired School Employees Celebrate 55 Years of Service

The Hereford Retired School Employees is the local chapter of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA). This year, the chapter celebrates its 55th anniversary, having been established in the early 1970s.Today, the organization has about 90 members.Members meet at 11:30 a.m.

Speed limits lowered on several northwest county roads

Locals were already having to poke along on many of the county roads involved, lest their vehicles become rattletraps, but county commissioners made lower speed limits official on an array of mostly northwestern county roads during a regular meeting July 14 at the County Courthouse.
