Nazareth FFA members attended the Plainview District meeting along with more than 130 other district members. They had the opportunity to attend leadership workshops, FFA knowledge and teamwork. The evening rounded off with burgers and a short dance.

Hart Junior High Cross Country runners finished their season with great success. The girls team finished second in district. Team members are Lexi Cisneros, MIa Longoria, Savannah Corrales, Mairany Florentino, Sadie Carrasco, Janeth Morales, and Camila Perez. Individual medalists for the girls were Lexi Cisneros, 3rd Place; Mia Longoria, 6th Place, and Mairany Florentino, 7th place. Coaches for the XC teams are Cailin Neudorf and Corie Longoria.
Cruz, Cornyn introduce bill to stop amnesty program
Aiden Cisneros and America Cardoza competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Championships held at Kidsville in Plainview on Tuesday, qualifying to advance to Regionals. Cisneros placed third and Cardoza, sixth and will compete at the Regional Cross Country Meet on Oct. 21 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Also earning a medal in the Girls JV Division was Marilen Vega who finished in 9th place.
Nazareth Varsity and JV Girls XC teams competed at the District Championships. Nazareth Varsity — 2nd place team.Varsity members include Madison Brockman, 5th,Jolee Pigg, 6th, Mallory Wilhelm, 12th, Bridget Osterkamp, 14th, Zeli Olivas, 21st, Allie Pittillo, 23rd, Brynli Schilling, 24th. JV team members include Kyndrey Branum, 5th, McKinley Moore, 7th, Sydney Branum, 8th, Kira Patzold, 18th. The Varsity team advances to the Regional Meet at Mae Simmons in Lubbock on Oct. 22 and will run at 9 a.m.
