State Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced the publication of the State of Texas Annual Cash Report for the fiscal year ending Aug. 31. The report presents the state’s financial condition and details revenues and expenditures on a cash basis as required by Texas Government Code Section 403.

RES pumpkin contest big success

Richardson Elementary students (and parents) had great fun participating in the RES pumpkin contest. RES hosted the Story Book RES hosted the Story Book Character Pumpkin Contest and more than 150 pumpkins were entered in the contest.

Historical Museum to host open house

Castro County Historical Museum will hold an open house on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum, located at 404 W. Halsell, has several newly completed projects centering on the armed forces and people who served from Castro County.

State sales tax revenue up at $3.4B in October

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.41 billion in October, 25.2 percent more than in October 2020. The majority of October sales tax revenue is based on sales made in September and remitted to the agency in October.
