Appeals court upholds Reagor sentence

The U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit on Monday upheld the conviction of Reagor-Dykes Auto Group co-founder Bart Reagor, who was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison in March 2022 after being found guilty in October 2021 of making false statements to a bank.

The Texas Senate Committee on Business & Commerce will hear SB 324 authored by Lois Kolkhorst (R, SD-18) which seeks to require all Texas employers to utilize E-Verify to ensure legal hiring practices for new employees and deter illegal immigration.
Nazareth ISD Kayle Rogers competed at the Region 1 Track Championships this past weekend and earned a trip to the state meet. Rogers had a second-place distance of 46-03-00. The state meet for 1A competitors is May 3 in Austin. Compete regional results for Nazareth and Hart are om the Sports Section.
