Tre Hinds from Wayland Baptist University visited with Dimmitt High School seniors and shared opportunities available at SBU.

Castro County 4-H robotics teams did well at the Texas Tech GEAR trial run. In just one month, four teams prepared robots for the competition and learned to work as teams. Elementary division teams at the TT GEAR were Harper Rowland, Kimber Schenk and Laikyn Nelson (1st place) and Benson Birkenfeld, Mason Mireles, and Wyatt Bennett (2nd place). Middle School division teams include Copper Farris, Drew Bennett, and Gus Olson (1st place) and Sawyer Gibson, Griffin Neinst and Yates Olson (3rd place).

Hart Middle School Robotics Team 1 competed at the GEARS meet at Sam Houston Middle School and placed 5th out of 31 teams. Team members include Maria Gomez, Evelyn Morente and Ellianhan Chambers.

Hart Middle School Robotics Team 3 competed at the GEARS meet at Sam Houston Middle School and placed 10th out of 31 teams. Team members include Dael Longoria, Adrian Godoy and Hector Perez.

DHS Spanish Club students recently competed at the Festival Románico at Eastern New Mexico University. Jose Ortega, Irvin Alarcón, Rosa Medina, Camila Madrigal, Ivon Perez, Maria Lopez, Karla Carpio and Tomasa Morales participated in the poetry recitation and arts and crafts competitions.
