Nazareth’s Swiftette Cross Country teams had a great day at the District Meet in Plainview Tuesday.The varsity girls team placed first and is advancing to the Regional Meet at Mae Simmons on Oct. 20. The team will be racing at noon.

Slaton tops Bobcats 21-15, district starts Friday

Now the real season begins.The Dimmitt Bobcats will face their first district test tomorrow night at home against Tulia in a district match up that brings along with it lots of playoff implications.

Nazareth Swifts’ fans went home happy Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the O'Donnell Eagles 70-48 in a predistrict battle Friday night.With the win, Nazareth advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Swifts travel to Whitharral to take on the Panthers tomorrow night.

Hart stays unbeaten: tops Wellman-Union, 57-24

The Hart Longhorns topped the Wellman-Union Wildcats 51-24 Friday on the road.The Longhorns now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anton for a non-league outing on Friday, October 3. Hart will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 65-40 non-league win over Dawson.

Dimmitt rallies to win 34-30 over Hornets

What a finish!Down 26-24 with little time left in the fourth quarter, the Dimmitt Bobcats came through in the clutch to pull out a 34-30 win in Amarillo against Highland Park moving Dimmitt to 4-1 on the season. Friday, the Bobcats travel to Slaton to face a tough road test.

Swifts improve to 2-2, top Valley 84-50

Nazareth’s Cameron Pohlmeier had quite a game Friday against Valley.Pohlmeier had 322 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in a runaway Swifts victory, 84-50.The Nazareth Swifts look to improve on its 2025 football season with a game against O’Donnell set for Friday on the road beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Bobbies second at Sundown cross country meet

The Dimmitt Bobbies took second place overall last week in the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown.The varsity girls took second place overall in varsity competition. Damaris Alfaro placed fifth overall, and Frida Madrigal also placed in the top10 with a 10th-place finish.
