Man charged with 22 women convicted of capital murder

A man charged with killing 22 women in the Dallas area is set to be tried in the death of one of them after being convicted of capital murder in the death of another earlier this year. The capital murder trial of Billy Chemirmir, 49, in the death of 87-year-old Mary Brooks began Monday in Dallas.

Child abuse increasing in Texas Panhandle

According to the Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center, there is a dramatic increase in child abuse throughout the Texas Panhandle. Cases are up 40 percent, escalating in both numbers and severity.

As some are aware, the grocery inserts are disappearing in newspapers and customers are being forced online to retrieve any savings on their shopping. This is happening at community newspapers across the Texas Panhandle and state. The problem - customers are not happy about it.

Where is my hair?

Many male friends tell me, “I am losing my hair. What can I do about it?” I suggest they do what I did… get rid of your mirror. But seriously, I understand their plight. I still shed mountains of hair daily, much of it from the head. So, here’s my question: is your hair really receding?
