Naz gears up for Homecoming

The Nazareth school and community have been busy with homecoming week activities. The theme for homecoming week included jersey, celebrity, stereotype, class color wars and blue and gold. Students kicked off things this past Sunday by painting their names on the street.

Longhorns score win against Bobcats

The Hart Longhorns came in with big win over the Rule Bobcats this past Friday, 62-52 Hart took charge in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on a Rule fumble that was recovered by Longhorns Noah Marin, putting the Hart squad up 6-0.

Swifts defeat Tigers, 71-58

The Nazareth Swifts beat the Groom Tigers in a highscoring game this past Friday, 71-58. In the first quarter, Groom put points on the board with a 66-yard return, to take the lead, 6-0. Nazareth answered with a Luke Schulte 44-yard rush and touchdown to tie the score, 6-6.

Longhorns defeat Jaguars

The Hart Longhorns scored a big victory against the Gutherie Jaguars this past Friday, 68-18. Hart got the action underway with a touchdown in the first quarter, with an Ely Hernandez 5-yard run, and an extra point on a kick by Draven Dominguez, to put Hart in the lead 8-0.

DMS opens season with wins over Sunray

The Dimmitt Middle School 7th grade football team won Thursday's matchup against Sunray with a score of 14-6. The team was led by running back Victor Lozano who had a great game with 132 rushing yards, two touchdowns and one twopoint conversion.
