Castro County 4-H took on Texas Tech Amarillo League G.E.A.R robotics contest Saturday in Amarillo. Eighteen youths on four elementary teams and two middle school teams competed along with 50 plus other teams. All teams had positive scores.

The Hart Junior High Robotics team competed in the Amarillo League G.E.A.R Contest, where they had a good showing. Team 2 won the Programming award. Team 3 placed 2nd with a score of 190 points, and Team 5 tied for 3rd with a score of 165 points. Team 1 placed 6th with a score of 100.

March was fast and furious! Many of our county teams advanced to state and regional competitions. Congratulations to the Nazareth Swiftettes basketball team and Hart Ladyhorn State Powerlifter Adamari Morales, both are state champions.
Nazareth’s Madison Brockman was presented her award for being named the 1A Greater Texas Ford Dealers Female Athlete of the Month for February. She was honored for the role she played in leading the Swiftettes to their 27th State Championship. Above, the team is pictured with Whiteface Ford ‘s Jon Galland.
