The Bushland Independent School District confi rmed that the head softball coach has resigned after being arrested on Saturday on state charges of solicitation of prostitution in Lubbock.

Hart trackster Toree Jo Evan competed at the Regional track meet and qualified to compete at the 1A state track meet in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash on May 13 in Austin.

The Dimmitt Bobcats watched the game slip away last Tuesday and couldn’t recover in a 19-0 loss to Bushland. Bushland got the first inning started, jumping out ahead by seven runs, added another two in the second inning and a big nine runs in the third.

A new Big Chicken restaurant, co-founded by Shaquille O’Neal is planned for Lubbock.
