A proposed constitutional amendment, HJR 126 by Rep. DeWayne Burns, aims to protect the right to farming, ranching, timber production and wildlife management in Texas.

Sales tax revenue hits $4.1B in April

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar Monday said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.09 billion in April, 6.7 percent more than in April 2022.
The majority of April sales tax revenue is based on sales made in March and remitted to the agency in April.

NHS, HHS advance to state track meet

The Region 1- 1A track and field championship was held on April 28-29 at South Plains College in Levelland, with approximately 38 schools participating the prelims and finals.
Of the 20 plus athletes competing from Nazareth and Hart, six advanced to the state tournament.
