Dear Editor,In response to the articles written by Monica Alvarez and Margret Del Toro, I would like to share some concerns I believe many taxpayers in Deaf Smith County also feel.

Despite good rains, pheasant numbers are up only slightly

Thanks to wonderful rains from spring into summer, there were far more pheasants to be seen locally this summer and fall, particularly at hangouts around feedyards and around cover bordering good feed.

HUNTER BREAKFAST THIS MORNING

The 28th annual Pheasant Hunters and Community Breakfast is today, December 6 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Methodist Church at 501 North Main. The hall is across the alley on the west side of the church building.

Hereford Police Department & Deaf Smith County Sheriff’s Report

Deaf Smith County Sheriff’s Dept. November 20 Salvador Zamora was arrested for assault against elderly or disabled individual. November 21 Ray Zepeda, Jr. was arrested for assault of a pregnant person.Diana Tresa Silva-Vasquez was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 oz.
