NISD receives $20,000 donation from NEF

The Nazareth Education Foundation (NEF) presented a check for $20,000 to Nazareth ISD following their annual fundraiser.

County Jail passes annual inspection

On Dec. 6,the Texas Commission on Jail Standards conducted an unannounced annualstate jail inspection of the Castro County Jail.

Through imagination, I spend Christmas Eve with the Waltons. The children have a strong bond with Daddy John; Mama Olivia, Grandpa Zeb and Grandma Esther. Enduring love and commitment keep them together. They exchange simple gifts and have their fill of fresh baked cake, pies and cookies.

Naz FFA competes at state LDE

Nazareth FFA State LDE students competed at the state competition at Sam Houston State in Huntsville. The state competition involves competing against all divisions of schools 1A to 6A, single teacher departments to 13 ag teacher departments, public schools to private schools.

LSB ‘Nutcracker’ starts Friday

The Lone Star Ballet production of the Christmas Classic “The Nutcracker” starts this weekend at the Amarillo Civic Center Friday through Sunday. According to Emily Evans, Lone Star Ballet instructor, “The kids are ready, they’re really excited to share this one.
