The Nazareth Dairy Cattle Judging team competed at the State Fair of Texas in the first contest of the year. The team placed seventh overall. Team members include Jett Ramaekers, Zach Huseman, Daniel Schacher, Brett Heitschmidt, Alishia Osterkamp and Iris Schilderink.

Dimmitt FCCLA students volunteered at the South Plains Food Bank apple orchard near Lubbock. They picked 120 buckets of apples, bagged and filled seven large containers of washed apples, and laughed and talked and giggled the whole time. The orchard staff was so sweet to the kids and answered so many questions. SPFB thanked the students for coming out to help. FCCLA also thanked the University Ave. restaurants for serving them lunch. Nazareth Robotics team members Michael Fulkerson and Spencer Acker prepare for competition at the Amarillo scrimmage this past weekend offering the rookies a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season.

Nazareth Livestock Judging Team at the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo in Waco. Livestock judging results – The Naz team placed 14th out of 106 teams. Daniel Schacher, 21st overall, Jack Welps, Tanner Wethington, Alishia Osterkamp, Emily Durbin and Jett Ramaekers. The team was set to compete at the Texas State Fair this week.

Castro County 4-H Gold Star Award - Caysen High, Luke Schulte and Harrison Meador, all from Nazareth, were presented their Gold Star plaques by Castro County AgriLife Extension Agent Felice Acker.
