Estate planning program set Oct. 19 in Silverton

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will offer a Farm/Ranch Business Entities and Estate Planning event on Oct. 19 in the Silverton Library, 405 Broadway in Silverton, for anyone who wants to attend. The program will begin with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by the program from 11 a.m.

Local DISD students attend Cast event

Two DISD students participated in a CAST for Kids event this past weekend at Buffalo Springs Lake. Danny Prieto and Josiah Rector of Dimmitt, participated in a recent event. Both students had a great time and brought their families along for a great fishing experience.

Dimmitt cross country teams competed at the District 3A Meet on Tuesday, scoring some solid wins and advancing several to the next level. The top three high school teams and the top 10 individuals qualify to compete at the Regional Meet on Oct. 25 in Lubbock.
