Collision kills New Mexico university golf team members

A fiery collision killed a golf coach and six students from University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico.
The crash happened last Tuesday just outside Andrews, Texas, the Texas Department of Public Safety said, as the golf team was returning home.

Tornado destroys Round Rock homes, businesses

Two confirmed tornadoes hit Williamson County on Monday evening, damaging or destroying about 1,000 homes and businesses, said County Judge Bill Gravell.
Emergency Medical Services also did not transport anyone with critical or serious injuries, the judge said.

Firefighters and first responders from the Texas A&M Forestry, local VFD and interlocal fire departments battled Texas wildfire on record this past week. The Eastland Complex Fire resulted in mass evacuations, three deaths, the loss of about 100 structures and other property damage. The city of Carbon was destroyed.
Wildfires wreak havoc in Central Texas

Multiple wildfires continued to scorch parts of Texas Monday after igniting under dangerous fire weather conditions in the state last week and this past weekend causing the destruction of many homes and the deaths of an Eastland deputy sheriff and two firefighters, one from Texas and one Oklahoma.
