The Dimmitt High School One Act Play (OAP) cast, directors and stage/tech crew won another “Advancing Play” in the UIL bi-district competition with their performance of “Her Senior Year” in El Paso and set to compete at Area on Wednesday in Seminole. The play was written by Codee Moore.

High Plains Water District field staff recently completed the 2022 water level measurements in HPWD Underground Water Conservation District No. 1, which includes Castro County. The average change observed in the Ogallala/Edwards-Trinity (High Plains) Aquifers is -0.63 feet from 2021 to 2022.

NRCS to host local meeting for public input

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Castro County and the Running Water Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking input from the public on how to best serve local citizens through Farm Bill conservation programs and technical assistance.
