Texas dairies celebrate National Dairy Month

The Texas Association of Dairymen – which represents Texas’ 395 dairy farmers in legislative and regulatory issues – invites Texans to celebrate June as National Dairy Month.

From Broken to Whole

To say the year 2020 was tough to many is an understatement, myself included. It was unprecedented--fraught with loss, pain, and sorrow. Many were left brokenhearted from the loss of loved ones. Not only from the coronavirus but also the general passing away of family members and friends.

Food prices continue to rise

After rising for 12 months in a row during the pandemic, international food prices are the highest they’ve been since September 2011, according to the Food Price Index released last week. The index, maintained by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, surged 4.

District 2 4-H Updates

District 2 4-H Junior Leader Lab saw 14 Castro County 3rd to 7th grade youth attend for two days of fun. The camp, held at Ceta Canyon, included zip lining, swimming, dancing and hiking.
