Legislation filed barring use of taxpayer money to fund lobbyists

Legislation has been filed in the Texas House and Senate to stop local governments from using taxpayer money to fund lobbyists. State Sen. Bob Hall, R– Edgewood, filed SB 234, and Rep. Mayes Middleton, R– Wallisville filed a companion bill, HB 749.
