State sales tax revenue $4.01B

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced state sales tax revenue totaled $4.01 billion in October, 5.4 percent more than in October 2023.The majority of October sales tax revenue is based on sales made in September and remitted to the agency in October.

The time to move our clocks back is almost upon us as Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. Here at Rhoads Memorial Library, we will be glad to reclaim the hour of sleep we lost when DST began last March, and it will be nice to endure limited darkness as we get ready for work.
