Hegar distributes $1.2B in sales tax allocations to counties, cities
Bodycam footage has been released of the incident between U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson from Amarillo and DPS troopers was released after Jackson allegedly refused to clear the area for emergency responders, while cursing and threatening law enforcement. Jackson was first elected in 2020 to represent Texas’ 13th Congressional District.
Hegar distributes $1.2B in sales
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for August, 2.8 percent more than in August 2022.
These allocations are based on sales made in June by businesses that report tax monthly and on sales made in April, May and June by quarterly filers.
