Tulia Fire Department, Tulia Police Department, Swisher County Sheriff’s Office and Tulia EMS rode in silence to honor the fallen, remember the heroes, and make a promise to Never Forget on 9-11. The Silent Parade started at 7:00PM on September 11, 2026 and made the route around Tulia.

Wheat Insect and Disease Scouting School

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Randall County located at 200 N. Brown Road in Canyon will host the Multi-County Wheat Program on Wednesday, September 16th. The program will be Wheat Insect and Disease Scouting School. The program provides 3 CEUs.

The Swisher County Historical Commission held its first joint meeting with the Swisher County Museum and Archives board on Thursday, September 3rd at the Tulia Depot. A business meeting was held that included information from both groups previous meetings.

Wheat Insect and Disease Scouting School set for Sept. 16 in Canyon

Texas Panhandle wheat producers can sharpen their scouting skills at the Wheat Insect and Disease Scouting School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16, at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office for Randall County, 200 N. Brown Road in Canyon.

Tulia VFW Auxiliary presented the Patriotic basket to winner Simona Simmon. Her husband Milton bought the winning ticket for her. The drawing was held during Picnic week.
