This past weekend I was very busy going back and forth to a volleyball tournament that was 45 minutes away from the house.I felt like an uber driver. One of the girls on Lillian’s team actually did have to take an uber there because both of her parents were unavailable to take her to the tournament.

Last week I spent a great part of the week in Panhandle with my sister. We were getting ready for a garage sale. Panhandle has a citywide sale every year just like we do in Tulia. We had a fairly good sale and best of all we had a great time together visiting and just having a great time.

Ogallala Commons Interns Complete Program

Swisher County Ogallala Commons Interns celebrated the completion of their internships with a presentation of their accomplishments during the summer. The program was presented in the Royal Theater. Guests were greeted with popcorn and water to enjoy during the movie.

Swisher County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Swisher County Farm Bureau members attended the Annual meeting at the Swisher County Senior Citizens Building on August 13th. The Senior Citizens catered the meal.The reading of the minutes from the previous meeting was waved.Jason Cantrell introduced the staff at Swisher County Farm Bureau.

First Baptist Church Calls Pastor

First Baptist Church Tulia has called Kyle Streun to be their Senior Pastor beginning August 10.Kyle Streun has served in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years, leading churches primarily in west Texas through biblical preaching, disciple-making, pastoral care, and servant leadership.
