Getting the school year kicked off in full swing, the Dimmitt High School student council hosted a Watermelon Fest on Aug. 17 complete with watermelon, corn hole tournament, music and games and lots of fun.
The Annual Swift/Swiftette Color run will be held on Sept. 10.
Both runners and walkers are welcome. T-shirts will be provided if registered by Aug. 27.
The cost is $25 for adults and $20 for 18 and under. Children not in school are free but must be registered and pay $8 to get a T-shirt.
