The Hart Junior High tennis team competed at the District 4-1A meet. Dael Longoria and Elizabeth Carrasco placed 3rd in mixed doubles. In girls’ doubles, Yalexii Cisneros and Mia Longoria placed 3rd, and Sadie Carrasco and Camila Perez placed 4th. Savannah Corrales placed 2nd in girl’s singles, and Avram Morales is the boy’s singles champion.

Nazareth Kayle Rogers qualified for the Texas UIL State Track Meet by placing second in the Shot Put event this past weekend at the Regionals competition held at South Plains College. Coming in just shy of qualifying for state was Maddie Brockman who place third in the 400-meter dash.

Castro County 4-H Brindle Gibson won 2nd place win in the Junior Everyday Living Construction Category. Her project was a casual dress that is double sided.

The Dimmitt High School Tennis team competed in Levelland with Josh Seaton placing 2nd in singles, and Benny Navarro and Blake Howell winning consolation in boys doubles.

DHS tracksters Lily Rodriguez and Daegan Roberson will advance to compete in Abilene at the Regional Track Meet. Rodriguez placed 3r in the 100-meter dash and Roberson placed 2n in the 300-meter hurdles.

Dimmitt HS FCCLA competed at the state contest this past weekend in Dallas. Drew Garcia and Emily Aguirre placed 5th out of 26 teams.
