Bobcats take down Morton, 83-38

The Dimmitt Bobcats improved to 3-1 Friday after winning their second game in a row in thrilling fashion, topping Morton 83-38.Leading the way for Dimmitt was quarterback Kaden Carpio who rushed for 211 yards and six touchdowns and also threw for 162 yards and two scores.

Swifts dominate Owls, 54-6

The Nazareth Swifts beat the Silverton Owls on Friday, 54-6 in a regular season game.

Bobcats topple Mustangs, 48-28

The Dimmitt Bobcats came in a big win at the homecoming game against the Bovina Mustangs, 4828.The Bobcats had three first downs, 33 rushes for 340 yards, two passes and receptions for 74 yards, nine penalties for 85 yards, and one third down conversion for 5 yards.

Longhorns beat Tornadoes 46-0

The Hart Longhorns kicked off their season with a win on Friday’s home non-conference game against West Texas Tornadoes 46-0.Tradien Worsham led the rushing with 224 yards on seven carries scoring four touchdowns, and three receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown.

Kixi Meador, great-granddaughter of George and Pat Bagley of Dimmitt, has won the AJQHA World Championship in the L2 Working Cow Horse competition riding Bearly Reining (called Hope). The AJQHA championship show was held in Oklahoma City on Aug. 1-3.
