Swiftettes edge out Lady Leopards

The Nazareth Swiftettes beat the New Home Lady Leopards in a close game, 51-45 Ṅew Home too the lead in the first quarter 17-12, but the Swiftettes narrowed the gap in the second quarter and closed the first half trailing at half time 23-21.

Bobcats stomp Demons, 81-48

The Dimmitt Bobcats claimed a big win over the Dumas Demons, 81-48. The Bobcats took the lead in the first quarter, 25-10, and continued to rack up points in the second quarter, closing the first half ahead 48-22.

Bobcats narrowly lose to Lions

The Dimmitt Bobcats lost a close game to New Deal Lions, 52-49. New Deal was ranked 8th in the state at the time of the game. The Lions gained a five-point lead in the first quarter, 13-8, and continued to widen the gap over the Bobcats in the second quarter, ending the first half with a 28-19.

Bobbies fall to Lady Tornadoes

The Dimmitt Bobbies dropped a game to the Lamesa Lady Tornadoes, 36-31. Lamesa took the lead in the first quarter, but the Bobbies battled and came back to take a singlepoint lead in the second quarter, closing the first half out, 14-13.

Swiftettes crush Lady Matadors, 73-7

The Nazareth Swiftettes soundly beat the Adrian Lady Matadors, 73-7. The Swiftettes took a big lead in the first quarter, 23-0 and continued to make big gains in the second quarter, while the defense held Adrian to two points. The first half ended with Nazareth ahead, 39-2.

Swiftettes beat Lady Antelopes, 54-26

The Swiftettes collected another win, beating the Abernathy Lady Antelopes, 54-26. The Swiftettes gained a lead early in the first quarter, getting up on the Lady Antelopes 17-5. Naz continued to make gains in the second quarter, closing the first half ahead, 28-11.

Kids, Inc. cancels basketball

Due to Covid-19 concerns, Castro County Kids, Inc. will not be having basketball this season. According to an announcement on Facebook, Benny Navarro said parents don’t want their kids involved due to the risks at this time. Navarro added that Kids, Inc.

Swiftettes crush Cowgirls, 37-10

The Nazareth Swiftettes beat the Happy Cowgirls, 37- 10, last Tuesday. Nazareth took the lead in the first quarter, 6-0, and gained more on the second quarter, to close the first half out ahead by 16-0.

Swiftettes roll over Lady Tigers, 76-18

The Nazareth Swiftettes won a big victory against the Hartley Lady Tigers, 76-18 on Friday. The Swiftettes pushed out front with a big lead in the first quarter, 23-4, and continued to pound the net, adding another 22 points to their score, ending the first half with a 45-9 lead.
