A university-led, paid study called Change Club offers Castro and Lamb County residents an opportunity to engage their community by exploring ways to improve the health of its residents.

Texas ABLE Program enhanced

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced enhancements to the Texas Achieving a Better Life Experience (Texas ABLE®) Program. Effective Oct. 1, the account maintenance fee is being reduced from $4 per month to $3.

Xcel to hire 100 customer service agents

Xcel Energy announced the company will be hiring up to 100 customer service agents with the option to work remotely. The company said the jobs come with “generous pay” and benefits. Xcel Energy offers training for new employees and have boosted their starting pay by more than 20 percent.
