Medical marijuana available to more Texans

With medical marijuana expansion law in effect, some Texans are now eligible to receive a prescription. This will allow many more people in the Panhandle to use it since before the bill was passed, restrictions on the earlier law were very strict on who could use the drug.

Castro County 4-H Harrison Meador earned a spot as an ATA All-American, Sub-Junior second team with a score of 952. The Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) All-American team selections were made based on the All-American Awards Point System and 2021 performance.

Castro County 4-H BBQ lunch set for Oct. 19

The Castro County 4-H Club will be holding its Brown Bag BBQ Lunch fundraiser on Oct. 19. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out and will include a BBQ sandwich, drink, chips and cookie. Free citywide delivery is available for order of 8 or more if placed by Friday, Oct. 15.
